A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMDNGA, CALIFORNIA, TO AWARD AND EXECUTE A PROFESSIONAL
SERVICES AGREEMENT WITH GPS CONSULTING ENGINEERS OF
TUSTIN, CALIFORNIA, TO PREPARE PLANS, SPECIFICATIONS AND
ESTIMATES FOR BASE LINE ROAD STREET IMPROVEMENTS PHASE II
FROM ETIWANDA AVENUE TO VICTORIA PARK LANE
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga desires to
widen and improve Base Line Road from Etiwanda Avenue to Victoria Park Lane,
being Phase II of an overall widening project;
WHEREAS, the engineering and planning firm of GPS Consulting
Engineers, has responded to a written Request for Proposal issued by the City
to provide professional engineering services for land surveys, engineering
design, studies and calculations, with services for the preparation of Plans,
Specifications and Estimates to widen and improve Base Line Road, Phase II from
Etiwanda Avenue to Victoria Park Lane by submitting a fee proposal for the
same;
BE IT, THEREFORE, RESOLVED to award and execute a Professional
Services Agreement with CPS Consulting Engineers to provide professional
engineering services to prepare Plans, Specifications and Estimates to provide
for the widening and improving of Base Line Road, Phase II from Etiwanda Avenue
to Victoria Park Lane.
Such work shall be performed for a fee Not to Exceed $27,500,00 to be
funded by Systems Development Fund.
A contingency fund in an amount of 10% of the contract amount shall
also be established for use under the approval and direction of the City
Engineer for extra work or change order during the course of the plan
preparation.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of February, 1988.
