W~REAS, the Historic Preservation C~m~dssion ba~ held a duly
advertised public hearing to consider all cu, m~nts on the proposed Point of
Historic Interest Designation and issued Resolution No. 88- recu,m~nding to
this city Council that said Point of Historic Interest Designation be approved.
WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed all input frc~ the
Historic Preservation fka~u,d~sion regarding said Point of Historic Interest
Designation.
WHEREAS, all legal prere~Hmites to the adoption of this R~solution
NOW, TH~{EFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby specifically find, determine, and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The application applies to property located at Assessor
Parcel Number 201-474-02.
Sf3Jr±ON 2: The proposed Point of Historic Interest ~ts the
following criteria established in Chapter 2.24.090 of the Rancho Cucamonga
Municipal Code:
A. Historical and Cultural Siqnificanc~:
1. ~ne proposed Point of Historic Interest is
particularly representative of an historical
peried.
2. The site is the location of an important
historical building.
B. Neiqhborhood and Geographic Setting: The proposed
Point of Historic Interest in its location represents
an established and familiar visual feature of the

S~ur±ON 4: If this building is to be rehabilitated, it should be
reconsidered for designation as a landmark.

this Council and based on the findings set forth above.
NOW, TH~{EFORE, the City Ccuncil of the city of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve and auprove a recutuLendation to the City Council of Designation
of ~ne Alta L~ma School as a Point of Historic Interest.
