A RESOLUTION OF THE c±'rf COUNCIL OF T~E C±TY OF RAN(~IO
~, CALIFORNIA, REu±'rlNG THE FACT OF THE GfI~AL
MUNIcLFAL kW,F~"ION ~rn ~' THE C~'I'Y OF RANC~IO ~ ON
~ER 8, 1988, Dt92LARING THE RESULT AND SUC~ OTHER
MA~'~SASPRDVIDfDBYq/~EPRDVISIONS OF LAW
WHI~EAS, a general municipal election was held and conducted in the
City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, on Tuesday, November 8, 1988, as required
by law; and
WHf~EAS, notice of the election was duly and regularly given in time,
form and manner as provided by law; that v~ting precincts ware properly
established; that election officers were appointed and that in all respects the
election was held and conducted and the votes were cast, received and canvassed
and the returns made and declared in time, form and manner as required by the
provisions of the Elections Code of the State of California for the holding of
elections in cities; and
WHf~REAS, the Registrar of Voters of the County of San Bernardino
canvassed the returns of the election and has certified the results to this city
Ommncil, the results are received, attached and made a part hereof as Exhibit
NOW, THt~EFORE, the city Council of the city of Rancho Cucara3nga,
California, does hereby resolve, declare, determine and order as follows:
SECTION 1: That there ~_re 57 voting precincts established for the
purpose of holding said election consisting (of consolidations) of the regular
election precincts in the City of Rancho Cucamonga as established for the
holding of state and county elections.
SECTION 2: ~nat said regular municipal election was held for the
purpose of electing the following officers and for and against the measure of
said city as required by the laws relating to cities in the State of California,
to wit:
A Mayor of said city for the short term of two years;
Two members of the City O~uncil of said City for the full
term of four years;
Sf3Ji'iON 3: Tnat the number of votes given at each precinct and the
number of votes given in the City to the measure and to each of such persons
above named for the respective officers for which the persons were candidates
were as listed in Exhibit "A" attached.
S~3Ji'iON 4: That the whole number of votes cast in said City was

SECTION 5: ~hat the name of the person voted for at said election for
Mayor of the City Council of said city is as follows:
Dennis ~.o Stout
~hat the names of persons voted for at said election for M~mber of
City Council of said city are as follows:
Pamela J. Wright and William J. Alexander
~at the names of persons voted for at said election for City Clerk
and City Treasurer of said city are as follows:
Beverly A. Authelet and James C. Frost
~hat the number of vc~ given at each precinct and the number of
votes given in the City to the measure and to each of such persons above named
for the respective offices of which said persons were candidates were as listed
in Exhibit "A" attached.
S~CTION 6: ~he City Council does declare and determine that:
Dennis L. Stout was elected Mayor of the city Council of
said City for the short term of two years;
Pamela J. Wright was elected as M~ber of the City Council
of said City for the full term of four years;
William J. Alexander was elected as Member of the City
Council of said City for the full term of four years;
Beverly A. Authelet was elected as City Clerk of said city
for the full term of four y~a~s;
James C. Frost was elected as City Treasurer of said city
for the full term of four ymarS.
S~CI~ON 7: The city Clerk shall enter ont he recor~ of the City
Council of the city, a statement of the result of the election, shying: (See
E~hibit "A")
(1) The whole number of votes cast in the city;
(2) The names of the persons voted for;
(3) For what office each person was voted for;

(4) ~ne number of votes given in the City to each person.
SEuI'iON 8: ~nat the City Clerk shall immediately make and deliver to
each of such persons so elected a Certificate of Election signed by the City
Clerk and duly authenticated; that the City Clerk shall also administer to each
person elected the Oath of Office prescribed in the State Constitution of the
State of California and shall hav~ them subscribe to it and file it in the
Office of the City Clerk. Each and all of the persons so elected shall then be
inducted into the respective office to which they have been elected.
SEci'-ON 9.: ~nat the City Clerk shall certify to the passage and
adoption of this Resolution and enter it into the book of original Resolutions.

CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
11 at the General Municipal Election consolidated with the Statewide
12 General Election held on November 8, 1988.
13 I FURTHER CERTIFY that the Statement of Votes Cast, to which this
14 certificate is attached, shows the total number of ballots cast in said
15 City or District, and the whole number of votes cast for each candidate and/or
16 measure in said City or District in each of the respective precincts therein,
17 and that the totals of the respective columns and the totals as shown for
