HomeMy WebLinkAbout88-608 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 88-608 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CHCAMONGA, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF SAN DIEGO AVENUE BETWEEN FOOTHILL B~JLEVARD AND NORTH OF SAN BERNARDINO ROAD BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: ~-~-~_!: ~"nat the City Council hereby elects to proceed under Section 8300, et. seq., of the Streets and Highways Code, also known as the Street Vacation Act of 1941. SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of San Diego Avenue between Foothill Boulevard and North of San Bernardino Road a City street, as shown on Map No. V-084 on file in the Office of the City Clerk, a legal description of which ia attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by reference made a part hereof. ~_6~_~_~: That the City Council hereby fixes Wednesday, the 2nd day of November, 1988, at 7:30 p.m., in the Lions Park Community Center Building, located at 9161 Base Line, Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the time and place for hearing all persons objecting to the proposed vacation for th~ purpose of its determining whether said City street ia necessary for present or prospective street purposes. ~_~_~_~: That the City Street Superintendent shall cause notices to be posted conspicuously along the line of the street or part thereof proposed to be vacated at least l0 days before the hearing, not more than 30 feet apart and not less than three signs shall be posted, each of which shall have a copy of this resolution on them and shall have the following title in lettering not leas than one inch in height: "NOTICE OF HEARING TO VACATE STREET". ~__~: The subject vacation shall be subject to the reservationa and exceptiona, if any, for existing utilities on record. ~_C~_~_9: The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause same to be published 10 days before the date set for the hearing, at least once in ~h_~_~__R~, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
