The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamon~a does ordain as
SECTIGll 1: Ordiaiti~ca l~os. 243 and 257, both of which added a Chapter
9.16 to the Rancho Cucamonsa Hunlcipal Code pertainin$ to miscellaoeous
offenses and use of alcoholic beveraaes in public places, are hereby repealed.
SgCTIOI~ 2: Title 9 of the Rancho C~eamon~a Municipal Code is hereby
amended by the addition of a nee Chapter 9.16 Co read, in yards and figures, as
follows:

person violating any provision of Chis Chapter shall.bm.deemed guilty of a
misdemeanor and upon conviction thereof shall be punished, bY a'fine

six (6) months, or by bach such fine and imprisonment.~

'9.18.010 Interference vith Police Do~s Prohibited. It shall be
unlavful for any person, in s manner not othe~ise prohibited by California
Penal Code Section 597 to tease, harass, agitate, provoke, best, kick,
strike, injure, or in an~ way interfere with any dog being used by any 1~
enforcement officer in the performance of his or her official duties.
'9.18.020 Penalties for Violation of Chanter° It shall be
unlavful for any parson to violate any provision of this Chapter. tay

exceeding One Thonsand Dollars ($1,000.00) or by ieprisonaent not exceeding
