HomeMy WebLinkAbout231-A - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. 231-A AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING ORDINANCE NO. 231 BY EXTENDING SECTION 8.10.110 THEREOF PERTAINING TO TERMINATION OF CHAPTER 8.10 OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA MUNICIPAL CODE ENTITLED '%IOBILE HOME PARK ANNUAL MAXIMUM RENT ADJUSTMENT", AND DECLARING THE URGENCY THEREOF The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: Unless this Ordinance is adopted as an urgency measure, Ordinance No. 231 will expire by its own terms on November 21, 1984, thereby removing from law a procedure designed to resolve rent increase disputes between the tenants and owners of mobile home parks before an alternate procedure can be considered by the City Council. The City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the public health, safety and welfare to extend the provisions of Ordinance No. 231 to February 6, 1985 while alternative8 thereto are being considered by the City Council. SECTION 2: Ordinance No. 231 is hereby amended by amending Section 8.10.110 thereof, to read as follows: "Unless extended by action of the City Council, the Ordinance shall terminate and have no force and effect after January 2, 1984" SECTION 3: This Ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency measure, and it shall take effect immediately upon its adoption. SECTION 4: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
