A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ENDORSING
PROPOSITION 14, THE CALIFORNIA READING AND LITERACY
IMPROVEMENT AND PUBLIC LIBRARY CONSTRUCTION AND
RENOVATION BOND ACT OF 2000
WHEREAS, Proposition 14,slated forthe March 7,2000 ballot,provides$350 million
in bond money for building new libraries and upgrading older facilities and
WHEREAS,as the California populations continue to grow and expand,so does the
demand to provide for adequate library facilities and
WHEREAS,successful passage of this bond measure would result in approximately
100 library improvement projects throughout the State of California
NOW THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby
resolves as follows:
To support literacy and lifelong learning by endorsing Proposition 14
PASSED, APPROVED, AND ADOPTED this 16`" day of February 2000.
