AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOGNIZING THE
PALM AND EUCALYPTUS STREET PLANTINGS ON HIGHLAND
AVENUE BETWEEN ETIWANDA AVENUE AND EAST AVENUE
AS A SIGNIFICANT HISTORIC FEATURE OF THE CITY AND
THEREFORE DESIGNATING IT AS A CITY HISTORIC LAND-
MARK.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California,
does ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council finds and determines that the
Palm and Eucalyptus Street plantings on Highland Avenue between Etiwanda
Avenue and East Avenue have met the criteria established in Ordinance
No. 70 for the Historic Preservation, and therefore, and with the recommen-
dation of the Historic Preservation Commission, designates it as a
Historic Landmark of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
SECTION 2: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City
Clerk shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause the same
to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage, at least
once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general circulation published
in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 1st day of April, 1981.
