HomeMy WebLinkAbout138 - Ordinances ORDINANCE NO. 138 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECOGNIZING THE ALTA LOMA HONOR ROLL, THE PALM AND EUCALYPTUS STREET TREE PLANTINGS ALONG THE NORTHEAST AND SOUTHWEST CORNERS OF VICTORIA AND ETIWANDA AVENUES, AND THE CHAFFEY-GARCIA HOUSE AS BEING SIGNIFICANT HISTORIC FEATURES AND, THEREFORE, DESIGNATING EACH AS A CITY HISTORIC LANDMARK The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does ordain as follows: SECTION 1: The City Council finds and determines that the Alta Loma Honor Roll, located on Amethyst Street in the 7100 block, has met the review criteria established in Ordinance No. 70 for historic preservation, and therefore, with the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission, designates the Alta Loma Honor Roll as a City Historic Landmark. SECTION 2: The City Council finds and determines that the Palm and Eucalyptus street tree plantings along the northeast and south- west corners of Victoria and Etiwanda Avenues have met the review criteria established in Ordinance No. 70 for historic preservation, and therefore, with the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission, designates those Palm and Eucalyptus street trees as City Historic Landmarks. SECTION 3: The Citv Council finds and determines that the Chaffey-Garcia House, located at 6295 Etiwanda Avenue, has met the review criteria established in Ordinance No. 70 for historic preservation, and therefore, with the recommendation of the Historic Preservation Commission, designates the Chaffey-Garcia House a City Historic Landmark. SECTION 4: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
