AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA,
AMENDING CHAPTER 2.16 of TITLE 2 OF THE RANCHO CUCAMONGA
MUNICIPAL CODE BY ADDING SECTION 2.16.060 THERETO RELATING
TO ADJUSTMENT IN SALARIES FOR MEMBERS OF THE CITY COUNCIL.
The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1: Chapter 2.16 of Title 2 of the Rancho Cucamonga
Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Section 2.16.060 to read as follows:
"2.16.060 Percentage salary adjustment. Notwithstanding any
other provision of this Chapter, and pursuant to Government
Code Section 36516.2, the salary of each member of the City
Council is hereby increased, effective on the operative date
of this Ordinance, by an amount equal to two and one-half
percent (2 1/2%) for each calendar year from the operative
date of the last adjustment of salary in effect, which
adjustment was made pursuant to Government Code Section
36516 and Section 2.16.040 of this Chapter. This section
shall not be deemed to provide for an automatic future
increase in salary."
SECTION 2: The Mayor shall sign this Ordinance and the City Clerk
shall cause the same to be published within fifteen (15) days after its passage
at least once in the The Daily Report a newspaper of general circulation
published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of April, 1984.
