EX~i~3TE ON B~ALF OF ~HE CITY ~E APPLICATION FOR
OBTAINING F~D~AL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE L~qD~P.L. 93-288
INVOLVING THE~, 1992· PI/X)D~
WHEREAS, in Fe~, 1992· the City experienced significant flooding
caused by heavy rains; and
WHEREAS, the City expended funds and resources to recover from the
effects of the flood and is desirous of receiving federal and state assistance
NOW, q]~REFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve that Marti Higgins, Disaster Preparedness Manager, or Jack
City Manager, or Susan Neely, Finance Officer, is hereby authorized to execute
for and on behalf of the City of Rancho f~, a public entity
_ur~e__~-~ the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it in
the Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain federal'
financial assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford
Disaster Relief and ~merg~ Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial
assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act for the floods, which
oco/rred in F~bm~y of 1992.
BE IF FUrTHeR RESOLVED that the City of Rancho ~, a public
entity established under the laws of the State of California, bmreby
authorizes its agent to provide to the State Office of Emergency Servioes for
agr~m~nt r~/r~.
