HomeMy WebLinkAbout92-148 - Resolutions RESOLUI~ON NO. 92-148 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY ~ OF ~HE CITY OF RANCHO ~, C~T.TFO~qIA, D~LARING ITS ~ON TO LEVY AND COT.~.FrT ~ ~ THE PARK AND RECREATION ~ DISTRICT (PD-85) AND SEITING A TIME AND PIACE FOR P%~LIC HEARING ~ WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga bas previously formed a special assessment district pursuant to the terms of the "Landscap~ and Lightir~ Act of 1972", being Division 15, Part 2 of the Streets and Highways ODde of the State of California, in what is known and designated as "PARK AND RECREATION ]]~09]~4~T DISTRICT (HERITAGE AND R~D ~ PARKS) ". WHEREAS, at this time the City Oouncil is desirous to take proceed- ings to provide for the annual levy of a~sessme~ts for the next ensuing fiscal year to provide for the costs and expenses neoessary to pay debt service on the bonds issued and costs for annual mintenance for Assessment District; ar~ City Oouncil, the ~ineer's Report, as required by law, and this City Ommcil is desirous of continuing with the ~=xx~gs for said annual levy. NOW, q/~EREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby resolve as folly: A. Recitals. SECTION 1: ~at the above recitals are true and correct. B. Declaration of Intention. SECTION 2: That the public interest and convenience requires, ar~ it is the intention of this legislative body, to undertake pr~oeedirz3s for t_he annual levy and collection of assess~er~s for the payment of costs and expenses for the following designated /mprov~nts, including d_ebt service on Construction of park and recreational im~ in Heritage and Red Hill Cummunity Parks, including but not limited to, land preparation, including grading, landscaping and irrigation systems, together with app~rte~t work. That no new i~ or any substantial c~es in existing imp~-ovements are proposed as part of these Resolution No. 92-148 Page 2 C. Boundaries of Maintenance District. SECTION 3: That said w~rk of im~ are of direct benefit to the properties within the boundaries of said Assesa~e~t District, which ~ District tb~ legislative body previously declared to be the area benefited by said works of ~.~u¥~_nt, and for particulars reference is made to the boundary map as previously approved by this legislative body, a copy of which is on file in the Office of tb~ City Clerk and open for public inspection, and designated by the name of this Assessment District. D. Report of En ir r. SECTION 4: That the '~eport" of the Engineer, as preliminarily approved by this legislative body, is on file with the City Clerk and open for public inspection. Referenoe is made to said '~%eport" for a full and detailed description of the existing works of improvement, the boundaries of the assessable lots and parcels of land within the Assessment District.
