A RESOLUI~ON OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCIK)
~, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY
c~.~qK TO EXECUTE CONTRACT AGRFFM~IT 8CA 17110 WITH THE
CALIFORNIA DEP~ OF FORESTRY AND FIRE Pt~OTECTION
PdDGARDING THE DISTRIBUTION OF TREE PIANTING GRANT FUNDS
IN THEAMOUNTOF $89,615
WHEREAS, the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection
w-us designated by the Governor's Office to prepare a grant application for
funds from the Federal Small Business Administration for the planting of trees
WHERFAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga Cucamonga has become a partici-
pant in the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection's grant
application for assistance in this new program; and
WHEREAS, the Federal Small Business Administration has awarded the
State of California and its participating Cities and Agencies a grant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga desires to use this grant in
order to replace trees lost to extraordinary weather conditions, disease, and
damage.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby resolve that the Mayor and City Clerk shall be authorized to execute
said contract agreement 8CA 17110 with the California Department of Forestry
and Fire Protection for the distribution of said q£ant funds.

I, DEBRA J. ADAMS, CITY CLk~K of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly passed,
approved, and adopted by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California, at a regular meeting of said City Council held on the 15th day of
January, 1992.
