A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AMENDING THE NON -
DISPOSAL FACILITY ELEMENT (NDFE)
WHEREAS, the California Integrated Waste Management Act (AB 939) requires
local government to identify all existing, expanding of existing and proposed non -disposal
facilities within its jurisdiction; and
WHEREAS, these facilities recover for reuse or recycling at least five percent of
the total volume of material received by the facility; and
WHEREAS, the Inland Empire Regional Composting Facility (IERCF) has sited a
new Composting Bio-Solids facility within the City of Rancho Cucamonga; and
WHEREAS, the Inland Empire Regional Composting Facility (IERCF) was not
identified in the City of Rancho Cucamonga's Non -Disposal Facility Element; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has notified members of the Local
Solid Waste Advisory Taskforce as prescribed in Section 40502 of the Public Resources Code;
and
WHEREAS, the Solid Waste Advisory Waste Taskforce voiced no objections to
the Inland Empire Regional Composting Facility; and
NOW, THEREFORE, The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby
resolves to amend the City's Non -Disposal Facility Element (NDFE) presented at this meeting
on this date.
