A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
(IICAHONGAo CALIFORNIA. APPROVING TIiE COMI~NITY DEVELOPMENT
AND HOUSING PLAN AND ADOPTING THE PR~-IMINARY STATENENT OF
COHI~INITY OBJECTIVES AND SELECTII~I PROJECTS FOR PRELIMINARY
FUNDING FOR THE COMN~NITY DEVELOPMENT BLO(X GRANT PROGRAM
FOR FISCAL YEAR 1987-88
~HEREAS, the City of Rancho Coc~mon~e is an Entitlement City under
the r~ulations governing the Community D~v*lop~ent Block Grant ProgremI and
~ltRREAS. notice of the av~ktability of funds for eligible projects
was published in the Daily Report and ~ailed to interested community groups;
and
~HEREAS. the City Staff has received proposals for projects and
progrems fro~ various orsanizetions in the Co~munityl and
~II~REA~, the City St~ff h~s conducted a needs assesment to determine
pro$ra~ eligibility ~nd needs; and
~HERFAS, the City ~ouncil h~ held · le$elly noticed public hearin$
in order to save the public an oppo~'tunity to respond to staff recosmendations
for progr~' funding and to put forth tor ~ouncil consideretion reco~endatione
for their o~n; and
~I1RREA~, the City Council bas heard public testimony and received all
public input resarding the City's Co~mmity Development Block Grant Progra~
the next prosr~- year.
NO~. THEREFOR~ B! IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cuceaonsa does hereby t&ke the follo~in~ actions:
1. Detemine that operation of the Housing Rehabilitation
prosrem in the flood plain is the aost prectical and
desirable of the alternatives, and the proposed
mitisation measures are sufficient.
2. If relocation of households or business is necessary
as the result of a Co~unity Development Block Grant
progrem, the adopted relocation policy will be
3. Approve the Co~unity Development and Housing Plan
which proposes to focus public improvements in
Southwest Cuca~onsa for the next three years.
4. Select for preliminar~ funding the follovin$ projects
and prosrems to be funded out of the City's Community
Development Block Grant award:
