CALIFORNIA, A~ARDING THE CONTRACT FOR CONSTRUCTION OF MASTER PLAN STORM DRAINS 4-N, 4-P AND 4-0 (ASSESSMENT DISTRICT 86-2) TO CALFON, INC. ~IiEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga (the "City"), has theretofor adopted i~s Resolution confirmin$ the assessment, ordering the improv~,~ents made and acquired and approving of the Engineer's Report (Assessment District 86-2) pursuant to the "Municipal Improvement Act of 1913", being Division 12 (commencing with Section 10000) of the Streets and Htshwaye Code, for certain public work and improvements generally described as folloes: Master Plan Stor~ Drains 4-N. 4-P and 4-0, A~sesement District 86-2, in the City of Rancho Cucamonga (the Improvements); and ~HEREAS, a public hearin$ has been noticed and held in the time and manner prescribed by law on matters relating to the approval of certain plans and specifications for the construction of the Improvements, generally described aa: Special Provisions, Notice to Contractors, Proposal and Contract for, Construction of Master Plan Stoa Drains i-P and 4-0 in the City of Rancho Cucamonsa, Bids Open: 17 February, 1987, at 10:00 A.M. (the "contractN); and ~HEREAS, the "Notice Inviting Bids" was posted in the manner, place and time prescribed by lee on all ~anners relating to the manner, time and place of receipt of sealed bid or proposals, generally described as: Bid Proposal, for the Construction of Master Plan Storm Drains i-N, i-P and i-O in the City of Rancho Cuca~onsa, (the "Bid Proposal")~ and ~HEREAS, Bid Proposals were publicly opened and read aloud on February 17, 1987 and found to meet the requirements stated therein: and WHEREAS, all necessary backsround checks have been satisfactorily completed; and WHEREAS, the City Council is now satisfied with all Bid Proposals received and all matters contained therein; N(~, THEREFOP. E, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucemonsa, does hereby Resolve. Determine and Order as follows: SECTION 1: The above recitals are true and correct. SECTION 2: That all Bid Proposals be accepted as submitted. SECTION 3: That the Contract be awarded to CALFON, INC., ~he lowest responsible bidder, with the following restriction: A. The award of the Contract shall be contingent upon Improveeent Bonds sale as prescribed by law. SECTION i: The City Clerk shall certify to the passase and adoption of this resolution; shall enter the same in the book of ori$inel resolutions of the City; and shell make a minute entry of the passage and adoption thereof in the record of the proceedings of the City Council and in the minutes of ~he meetin$ of which the same is passed and adopted.
