PORTION OF THE AREA VII (HERMOSA/TUI~NE~[) STO~/q I~AIN
WH~EAR, the City Council has previously progr-,~-ed $150,000 fro~
198~-8~ Community ~elo~ent Block Grant funds and $150,000 fr~ 19~-~
C~ity ~elo~ent Block Grant f~ds to be used for d~elo~ent of a park in
the North T~ neiEhborhood; and
~, a park site has been acquired on the south side of Feron
Boul~ard across fr~ ~ncho Cucamonsa Middle School; and
~, the City Ensineer has detemined that d~elo~ent of the
park cannot proceed until certain drainaEe impr~ents are made; and
~H~, the proposed (Area VII Hemosa/Turner) sto~ drain is
included in the ~ster Plan of ~ains; and
WH~, drainage impr~ents are an elisible e~enditure ~der
~unity ~elo~ent Block Grant regulations; and
WH~, an e~iro~ental r~i~ has been c~pleted for the proposed
drainage impr~ents which fo~d no a~erse ~iti~atable impacts fr~ the
proposed project; and
WH~, the federal ~par~e~= of Housin~ and Urban ~elo~ent has
urEed the City to e~end its C~m~i~y ~elo~ent Block Grant in a ~imely
fashion; and
WR~, other fundin~ is available to ensure d~elo~ent of the park
once ~he necessary drai~se impr~ents are in place.
N~, ~RE, BE IT R~VED, that the City of ~ncho CucamonEa
does hereby repro~r~ $300,000 in 19~ and 19~-~ funds ori~inally set
aside for d~elo~ent of a park in North T~ ~o the sto~ drain projec~
necessary to ensure d~elo~en~ of that park.
