HomeMy WebLinkAbout94-193 - ResolutionsRESOLUI~fkNNO. 94-193 A RESOLUTIC~q OF THE CITY OOL~CIL OF ~{E CITY OF RANCHO (I~9~A, CALIF-U~NIA, OPPOSING HR1843 ~EAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has eight mobile hcme parks in the City designated as adult, senior, or family to ~oo~,,~d~te the various lifestyles of residents c~ooeing to reside in mobile hc~e parks; and WHHREAS, the City of Rancho O~c~,,~3~ has always su~ the desires of its mobile hc~e resi_de-nts to choose their lifestyles relative to an adult, senior, or family mobile hc{ne park; and ~EAS, the City of Rand~o Cucamonga is dedicated to all families within the City ardenoourages family oriented life styles ardactivities both within mobilehomeparks and theccmmunityat large; and WHEREAS, there is n~ propoeed F_~4~al legislation (H.R. 1843) which is proposing to mandate that all mobile hc~e parks be designated as family parks and the designations of adult and senior parks be el'nninated; and WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamon~a continues to argue strenuously against mandates of any kind and especially unfurled______ mam4~t~; and WHEREAS, this legislation may r~ our existing adult and senior mobile home parks be retrofitted to acc~,,,,~t~ ~~ care facilities; and WHERFAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga believes the combination of adult, senior, and family mobile h~me parks offers sucoessful benefits to both at large; and NOW, THEREFORE, be it resolved that the city Council of the City of Pancho O]camonga opposes H.R. 1843 as it is currently written because it mandates that the lifestyles of our adult and senior parks must be changed without regard and/or input fr~n those residents choosing to reside in the adult and senior mobile h~ne parks.
