NOW, TR~u~, the City Oouncil of the City of Rancho O~m~ga ~oes
hereby resolve, declare, determine and c~der as follows:
S~CT/C~ 1: That pursuant to the requ/re~ents of the laws of the
State of California relating to general law cities within said State, there

the eighth (8th) day of -No~mmber, 1994, a s~ecial ~unicipal election for the
purpoee of su~tting the following questio~ to the electors of the City of
Rancho Cucamo~ga, California, to wit:
"Shall the office of City Clerk
be appointive?"
S~fI(kN 2: That the special ~unicipal electiu~ hereby called for the
date hereinabove s~ecified shall be and is hereby orde_~red omsolidated with
the statewide general electic~ to be held c~ said date, and within said city
the precincts, polling plaoes and officers of election for the special
municipal election hereby cited shall be the same as thoee provided for said
statewide general election. The Board of Supervisors of San Bernard/no (k~unty
is hereby requested to c~der the consolidation of the special ~unicipal
election hereby called with said statewide general election, and said Board of
Supervisors is hereby authorized to canvass the returns of said special
~mm~icipal election and said election shall be held in all respects as if there
~ o~ly c~e (1) election, and oD/y c~e (1) form of ballot, namely, the
ballots used in said general election, shall be used. Said Board of
S~0ervisors shall oertify the results of the canvass of the returns of said
special ~icipal election to the City Council of said city whic~ shall

S~iTT(~q 3: That the polls for said election shall be c~ at
7:00 A.M. on the day of said election and shall remain open o~fcinu~usly from
said time until 8:00 P.M. of the same day when said polls shall be closed,
ex~ as provided in Section 14301 of the ElecticalS COde of the State of
California.

SECTI~ 5: That notioe of the time and place of holding said
election is hereby given a~d the City Clerk is hereby authorized, instructed
and directed to give such further or additional notice of said election in
S~CTI~ 6: That the Board of Supervisors is hereby requested to
issue instructions to the Registrar of Voters to take any and all steps
n~ce~ry for the holding of said oc~lsolidated election.
SECTIC~ 7: The City of Ranclio O~,m~3m recognizes that additional
costs will be incurred by the County by reason of this consolidation and
SEETI(~ 8: That the City Clerk of the City of Rancho Cucamonga is
hereby directed to file a certified oopy of this Resolution with the Board of
Supervisors and the Registrar of Voters of the C~nty of San Bernardino.
