~ DEVELOPMt~Ff BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM YEAR 1994-95.
WHOlEAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, is an entitle~erfc
City under the regulations governing the C~miunity Development Block Grant
WHEREAS, City staff ba~ received proposals for ~oj~s ar~ ~jrams
from various organizations in the C~,u,,unity; and
WHEREAS, City staff has conducted a needs assessment to determine
program eligibility and r~cds; and
WHEREAS, the City released a Prel'nminary Statement of C~L~anity
Development Objectives indicating all programs and projects sulanitted for
Block Grant funding in the next program year; and
WHEREAS, On March 16, 1994, the City Council held a legally noticed
public hearing in order to give the public an opportunity to respond to
staff's rec~,mendations for program funding and to put forth, for Council's
consideration, rec~m~end___ations of their own; and
WHEREAS, the City Council heard public testimony and reoeived all
public input re~ar~ the City's C~unity Development Block Grant Program
for the next program year.
NOW, THOlEFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the City Council of the City of
Rancho Cucamonga, California does hereby take the following actions:
Determine that operation of the Housing Rehabilitation and
Historic Preservation Incentive Programs in the flood plain are
the most practical and desirable of the alternatives and the
proposed mitigation measures are sufficient.
Select prel'nninary funding for the following projects and
programs to be funded out of the City's 1994-95 C~mL~lnity
Development Block Grant award:
