A RESOLUTION OF ~tE CITY OOLSKIIL OF ~tE CITY OF ~

WHEREAS, the people of the State of Califoznia have enacted the
Califoznia Oil R~cycling ~ Act that provides funds to cities ar~
counties f~r est_~blishing and ~ local used oil oollectiom programs
that encourage recycling ~r a~x~riate ~li~l of used oil; and
WHEREAS, the Calif~rrda Intsgrated Waste ~ Board b~m been
delegated the responsibility f~r the ~inlmtr'at. io~ of the ~rogram within the
~REAS, said procedures estm_blished by the California Integrated
Waste Management Board require the applicant to certify by Resolution the
approval of application before ~3___h~i~ 'ssion of said application to tb~ State;
WHEREAS, the applicant will enter into an agreement with the State of
California for the development of the project.
NOW, THEREFORE, THE CITY OOUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANC~tO ~,
HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLIE~S:
Approves the filing of an application for the California Used
Oil Recycling Block Grant Program under the Califc~n%ia Oil
Recycling E~harx~em~t Act for State assistance for the p~oject
specified above; and
Certifies that said applicant h~m or will have sufficient funds
to operate and maintain the project; and
Appoints the City Engineer as agent of the City Council to
conduct all negotiations, execute and ~]bmtit all doom~nts
including, but not limited to applications, a~,
amendments, payment requests and so on, which may be nece~ry
for the cc~pletion of the aforementioned project.
