PAVEMENT MARKERS AND PAINTING PROCEDURES FOR STRIPING PER STANDARD SPECIFICATIONS FOR PUBLIC WORKS CONSTRUCTION, 1997 EDITION WITH LATEST SUPPLEMENTS. 4. THE CONDUCTOR SCHEDULE IS FURNISHED AS AN INSTALLATION GUIDELINE ONLY IT SHALL BE THE CONTRACTOR'S RESPONSIBILITY TO PROVIDE THE CORRECT CONDUCTORS REQUIRED FOR THE INTENDED OPERATION. 5. PERFORM PRELIMINARY STRIPING LAYOUT PRIOR TO LOOP DETECTOR LAYOUT. 8. ALL CONDUIT SHALL BE RIGID METAL. ALL CONDUIT SHALL BE 2" UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED, 9. ALL PULLBOXES SHALL BE #5 UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED. 10. ALL REMOVED EQUIPMENT SHALL BECOME THE PROPERTY OF THE CONTRACTOR. IF NOTED AS SALVAGED, IT SHALL BE DELIVERED TO A LOCATION IN THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA TO BE DETERMINED LATER. 11. ALL SIGNAL HEADS SHALL BE METAL WITH METAL BACKPLATES. RED SECTIONS SHALL BE LED, PER SPECIAL PROVISIONS. 14. CONTRACTOR SHALL POTHOLE CONFLICTING UTILITIES AS DIRECTED BY ENGINEER. 15. LOOP DETECTORS SHALL BE 6' X 6' TYPE 'A' OR 6' DIAMETER TYPE 'E', EXCEPT AS NOTED. LOCATE LOOPS IN THE CENTER OF THE TRAVELED PORTION OF THE LANE, EXCEPT AS SHOWN. SEE SPECIAL PROVISIONS. 16, ELECTRICAL SERVICE SHALL BE 1201240 VOLT. PROVIDE CIRCUIT BREAKERS FOR SIGNALS (ONE 50 AMP), ILLUMINATED SIGNS (ONE 15 AMP), AND SAFETY LIGHTING (TWO 30 AMP). COORDINATE SERVICE DETAILS AND SCHEDULING WELL IN ADVANCE OF NEED. SEE SERVICE WIRING DETAIL ON SHEET 3 AND SPECIAL PROVISIONS. 17. INTERNALLY ILLUMINATED STREET NAME SIGNS SHALL BE MODIFIED TYPE A WITHOUT PHOTOCELL ON HORIZONTAL SIGN ARMS. SEE SPECIAL PROVISIONS. 18. EXISTING LIGHTING TO BE REMOVED SHALL REMAIN IN OPERATION UNTIL NEW LIGHTING IS OPERATIONAL. 19. ALL CONFLICTING LINES AND MARKINGS SHALL BE REMOVED BY WET SANDBLASTING OR OTHER APPROVED METHODS PRIOR TO INSTALLATION OF NEW STRIPING. ALL CONFLICTING RAISED PAVEMENT MARKERS SHALL BE REMOVED. PAVEMENT DAMAGED DUE TO REMOVING MARKERS SHALL BE REPAIRED TO THE SATISFACTION OF THE ENGINEER. 20. NEW SIGN POSTS SHALL BE GALVANIZED STEEL, EASY ERECT BREAKAWAY OR SQUARE STEEL TUBING W/ BREAKAWAY BASE, "UNI— STRUT" OR APPROVED EQUAL UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED.
