Home My WebLink About93-148 - ResolutionsRESOLUTIONNO. 93-148 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY CIN3NCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CAT.IFORNIA, NAMING PERSONS AUTHORIZED TO EKECTHqE ON BEHALF OF ~HE CITY THE APPLIC3tTION FOR OBTAINING FEDERAL FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE UNDER P.L. 93-288 INVOLVING THE WINTER STORMS OF JANUARY AND FEBRL~%RY, 1993 WHEREAS, in January and February, 1993, the City experienced significant flooding caused by heavy rains; and WHEREAS, the City expended funds and resources to recover from the effects of the flood and is desirous of receiving federal and state assistance to recover these costs; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Marti Higgins, Disaster Preparedness Manager, or Jack Lam, City Manager, or Susan Neely, Finance Officer, is hereby authorized to execute for and on behlf of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, this application and to file it in the Office of Emergency Services for the purpose of obtaining certain federal financial assistance under P.L. 93-288 as amended by the Robert T. Stafford Disaster Relief and Emergency Assistance Act of 1988, and/or state financial assistance under the Natural Disaster Assistance Act for the floods, which occurred in January and February of 1993. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVHD that the City of Rancho Cucamonga, a public entity established under the laws of the State of California, hereby authorizes its agent to provide to the State Office of Emergency Services for all matters pertaining to such state disaster assistance the assurances and agreements required.
