A RESOI33TION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF ~tE CITY OF RANCHO
O3CAPK)NGA, CAT.TFORNIA, APPROVING HISTORIC POINT OF
INTEREST DESIGNATION 93-01, THEREBY DESIGNATING THE
~ IABOR CAMP SITE, LOCATED B~ FO0q]tII~
FLOOD ODNTROL CMANNEL, AS A LOCAL HISTORIC POINT OF
INTEREST, AND MAKING FINDINGS IN SUPPORP THER~0F - APN:
207-211-01, 18-21, 31, 32, AND 34.
WHEREAS, FU Mai T.imited Partnership has filed an application for
Point of Interest Designation 93-01, as described in the title of this
Resolution. Hereinafter in this R~solution, the subject Point of Interest
Designation is referred to as the "application".
WHEREAS, on May 11, 1993, the Historic Preservation C~m-,~ssion of the
City of Rancho Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the
application and, following the conclusion of said public hearing, adopted
Resolution No. 93-05, thereby reco~m¥~_nding to the City Council that said
application be approved.
WHEREAS, on June 2, 1993, the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga conducted a duly noticed public hearing on the application and
concluded said hearing on that date.
WHEREAS, all legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this
Resolutionhave occurred.
NCW, THEREFORE, the city Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, detennine, and resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The application applies to property located at Assessor's
Parcel Nur0bers 207-211-01, 18-21, 31, 32, and 34.
SECTION 2: The application applies to approximately 24.56 acres of
land, basically a narrow, long, rectangular configuration, located between
Foothill Boulevard and Arrow Route, west of the Cucamonga Creek Flood Control
Channel.
SECTION 3: The proposed Point of Interest meets the following
criteria established in Chapter 2.24.090 of the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal
Code:

The site is the location of an important historic event or
building.
S~'~ION 4: Designation of a Point of Interest is exempt from C~QA
(Article 19, Section 15308).
SECTION 5: Based uponthe substantial evidence received andreviewed
by this Council and basedonthe findings set forth above,
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the City Council of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga approves the designation of the Cucamonga Labor Camp Site as an
Historic Point of Interest.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 2ndday of June, 1993.
