HomeMy WebLinkAbout93-117 - ResolutionsRESOLL7I~ON NO. 93-117 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAb~D~GA, CJkT.TFORNIA, ADOl~i~NG THE FINAL ST~ OF ~ DEVELOPMENT OB]]DCITgI~S AND PRfk/ELTED USE OF FOR PRDGRAM YEAR 1993-94. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California, is an Entitlement City under the regulations governing the Community Development Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, notice of the availability of funds for eligible projects was published in the Inland Valley Daily Bulletin newspaper; and WHEREAS, the city staff has received proposals for projects and programs from various organizations; and WHEREAS, on March 17, and May 19, 1993, the City Council heard public testimony and received all public input regarding the City's Community Development Block Grant Program for the 1993-94 fiscal year; and NOW, THEREFORE, the City council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California hereby resolves and takes the following actions: Adopt the Final Start of C~m~nity Development objectives and Projected Use of Funds (Final Statement) for program year 1993-94 and make all findings, determinations, and certifications, and adopt all policies therein; and Select the following projects and programs to be funded out of the City's 1993-94 Coz~,~unity Development Block Grant award: Capital Improvement On-Going Neighborhood Center Sidewa~ Grinding Carry Over/ Reprogram FY 93-94 Total (Estimated) (Estimated) $142,748' $ 86,000 $ 228,748 $ 73,209 $ 19,240 $ 92,449 $ 0 $ 25,840 $ 25,840 $ 0 $ 18,840 $ 18,840 New 9th Street Design Salina/Vinmar Const. Program income is received from repayment of deferred loans made from participants of the Home Improvement Program. Funds received will continue to be used to provide housing rehabilitation for lower income, single family homeowners. The amount is an approximation of what might be received. Income received will not be known until the end of the fiscal year on June 30, 1993. 0 Determine that the proposed projects are the most environmentally desirable and that adequate mitigation has been included in each to avoid significant env~tal impacts under the National Environmental Protection Act (NEPA); and Determine tb~t all of the proposed projects are exempt from environmental review under the California Enviro~tal Quality Act (Section 15301 of the CSD_A Guidelines); and Resolution No. 93-117 Page 3 Authorize the City Manager to sign the application for the City's program year 1993-94 C~L~nity Development Block Grant Entitlement Allocation, to submit the Final Statement and Amendments thereto, and all understandings and assurances contained therein, and to act in connection with the suhnission of the Final Statement and to provide such additional information as may be required.
