A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA,
DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE NON-VEHICULAR ACCESS
RIGHTS OF A PORTION OF ETIWANDA AVENUE, SOUTH OF SHASTA
DRIVE.
BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as
fol 1 ows:
SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby elects to proceed under
Section 8300, et. seq., of the Streets and Highways Code, also known as the
Street Vacation Act of 1941.
SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to
vacate a portion of the non-vehicular access rights of a portion of Etiwanda
Avenue, as shown on Map No. V-071 on file in the Office of the City Clerk, a
legal description of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by
reference made a part hereof.
SECTION 3: That the City Council hereby fixes Wednesday, the 15th day
of July, 1987 at 7:30 p.m., in the Lions Park Community Center Building,
located at 9161 Base Line, Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the time and place
for hearing all persons objecting to the proposed vacation.
SECTION 4: That the City Street Superintendent shall cause notices to
be posted conspicuously along the line of the street or part thereof proposed
to be vacated at least 10 days before the hearing, not more than 30 feet apart
and not less than three signs shall be posted, each of which shall have a copy
of this resolution on them and shall have the following title in lettering not
less than one inch in height: "NOTICE OF HEARING TO VACATE STREET".
SECTION 5: The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk
shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause same to be published
10 days before the date set for the hearing, at least once in The Daily
Report, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario,
California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 17th day of June, 1987.
