HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-504 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 87-504 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCliO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVTNG GENERAL PLAN AMENDMENT NO, 87-03B, AN AMENDNENT TO THE LAND USE ELEMENT OF THE GENERAL PLAN OF THE CITY OF RANCliO CUCAMONGA WITH RESPECT TO CERTAIN REAL PROPERTY MORE S PE CI FI CALLY DE S CRIB ED HEREIN A. Recitals. (1) On August 26, 1987, following a duly noticed public hearing, as required by law, the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga adopted its Resolution No. 87-148, thereby recommending that this Council adopt General Plan Amendment No. 87-03B with respect to that property described in this Resolution. (ii) General Plan Amendment No. 87-03B pertains to an amendment of the Land Use Element of the General Plan by amendinq the land use designations for those areas of real property more specifically described in Exhibit "A,' attached hereto and incorporated herein by this reference. (iii) On September 16, 1987, this Council conducted a duly noticed public hearing, as required by law, to consider the adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 87-03B and said public hearing was concluded prior to the adoption of this Resolution. (iv) All legal prerequisites prior to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred. B. Resolution. NOW. THEREFORE, it is found, determined and resolved by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: 1. In all respects as set forth in the Recitals. Part A. of this Resolutiun. 2. Prior to the adoption of this Resolution, the City Council has reviewed, certified and adopted a resolution with findings stating that the Final Envlronmental Impact Report for the Foothi/1 Specific Plan and General Plan Amendment No. 87-03B has been completed in compliance with the California Environmental Quality Act of 1970, as amended, and the Guidelines promulgated thereunder and, further, that this Council has reviewed and considered the information contained in said Report prior to the adoption of General Plan Amendment No. 87-03B. Resolution No. 87-504 Page 2 3. This Council hereby specifically finds as follows: a. The proposed amendment does not conflict with any existing goals and policies of the Land Use Element of the General Plan; and b. The proposed amendment is in harmony with the goals and policies of all related Elements of the Genera/Plan; and c. The proposed amendment would not be materially injurious or detrimental to adjacent persons or properties. 4. This Council hereby approves General Plan Amendment No. 87-03B with respect to those properties outlined in Exhibit "A" attached hereto. 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution. PASSED, APPROVED, and ADOPTED this 16th day of September, 1987. AYES: Brown, Buquet, Stout, King, Wright NOES: None ABSENT: None ~\.. From Commercial to Office for 8.45 acres on the northeast corner of Grove Avenue and Foothill Boulevard - APN 207-011-43 and 44. 2. From Office to Commercial for the property as follows: a. Approximately 3 acres on the northeast corner of Red Hill Country Club Drive and San Bernardino Road - APN 207-113-01 and 10; b. APproximately 3.5 acres on the southwest corner of Carnelian Avenue and San Bernardino Road - APN 207-102-03, 05, 08, 09, 12 and 19; c. Approximately 8 acres on the northeast c3rner of Interstate 15 and Foothill Boulevard - APN 227-211-24, 25 and 27; and d. APproximately 5 acres on the southeast corner of Etiwanda Avenue and Foothill Boulevard - APN 229-311-14 and 15. 3. From Medium Residential to Commercial for the property as follows: a. Approximately 11 acres on the southwest corner of Turner Avenue and Foothill Boulevard - portions of APN 208-311-23 and 24. b. APproximately 7.5 acres 175 feet north of Foothill Boulevard on the west side of Etiwanda Avenue - APN 227-201-08 and 22, and portions of 227-201-07; and c. Approximately 5.5 acres 500 feet north of Foothill Boulevard on the west side of East Avenue - portions of APN 227-23-23. 4. From Low Residential to Commercial for approximately 9 acres 300 feet north of Foothill Boulevard on the east side of Turner Avenue - APN 1077-601-08 and 10 and portions of 1077-601-02 and 04. ' 5. To adjust the line between Medium Residential and Commercial in the block bordered by Foothill Boulevard, San Bernardino Road, Hellman Avenue and Klusman Avenue (see attached Exhibit "1").
