HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-492 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 87-492 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCliO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, STATING ITS INTENT TO CONSIDER A MEDIAN BREAK ON HAVEN AVENUE BETWEEN TRADEMARK AND SIXTH STREET WHEREAS, on September 2, and subsequently on September 16, 1987. the City Council of the City of Rancho CucamonMa considered the concept of a median break on Haven Avenue between Trademark and Sixth Street as requested by Matt Filpi and Victor Buccola in their l~tter of August 19, 1987; and WHEREAS, the property owners and their representatives have indicated their intent to attract and develop a high quality master planned development far exceeding the standards for the Haven Overlay District; and WHEREAS, the property owners have stated that a high quality master planned development can only be developed with a median break between Trademark and Sixth Street. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga its intent to consider granting a break in the Haven Avenue median island between Trademark and Sixth Street subject to the following conditions: 1. A Master Plan is approved by both the Planning Commission and City Council and that the project design in all respects be judged to greatly exceed the design standards of the Haven Avenue Overlay District and the Industrial Specific Plan. 2. The median break be found by the Planning Commission and City Council to not result in any reduction in service levels or cause any adverse impacts to the transportation system of Haven Avenue or the surrounding streets. 3. The project proponent pays any and all costs necessary for said median break and signal including but not limited to the design. preparation of plans, and construction. 4. Any loss of median island landscaping be symbolically reintroduced into the Haven frontage of the project site over and above the required landscaping as specified in the Industrial Specific Plan. The median break not occur until the City is in receipt of agreements and sureties that will assure the City of Rancho Cucsmonga that the project in its entirety, all 36 acres, will be developed in a timely manner as approved by the Planning Commission and City Council.
