A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANC~O
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING, AUTHORIZING AND
DIRECTING EXEO3TION OF A JOINT EXERCISE OF POWERS
AGREEMENT WITH THE CITIES FAIRFIELD, SANTA ROSA AND PALM
SPRINGS WITH RESPECT TO THE CREATION OF THE CCFC FINANCING
AUTHORITY
WHEREAS, the CITY COUNCIL of the CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA ("City")
does hereby resolve:
WHEREAS, the City is authorized to lease, purchase, receive and hold
property necessary or convenient for the governmental operation of the City;
and
WHEREAS, the City and the Cities of Fairfield, Santa Rosa and Palm
Springs, pursuant to Article 1 (commencing with Section 6500) of Chapter 5 of
Division 7 of Title 1 of the Government Code of the State of California,
propose to enter into an agreement for the purpose of creating an agency to
exercise the common powers of such Cities to acquire and dispose of, through
lease, lease-purchase, installment sale agreements, or otherwise, such property
as may be necessary or convenient; and
WHEREAS, the form of Joint Exercise of Powers Agreement among the City
and the Cities of Fairfield, Santa Rosa and Palm Springs creating the CCFC
Financing Authority (the "Joint Powers Agreement"), has been f~/ed with the
City, and the members of the City Council, with the aid of its staff. have
reviewed the Joint Powers Agreement; and
WHEREAS, the Joint Powers Agreement provides that this Council shall
appoint one member of the Commission of the Authority (as such terms are
defined therein) and this Council desires to make such appointments;
NOW, THEREFORE, it is hereby ORDERED and DETERMINED, as follows:
SECTION 1: The form of the Joint Powers Agreement be and is hereby
approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized and directed to execute the Joint
Powers Agreement, with such changes, insertions and omissions as may be
approved by such official, and the City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed
to attest to such official's signature thereon and affix the seal of the City
thereon.
SECTION 2: The Mayor, City Manager and Director of Administrative
Services and other appropriate officials of the City are hereby authorized and
directed to execute such other agreements, documents and certificates as may be
necessary to effect the purposes of this resolution.

SECTION 3: The Director of Administrative Services of the City is
hereby appointed as the first member of the Commission of the Authority to
serve as representative of the City, until his respective successor shall be
appointed by this Council.
