HomeMy WebLinkAbout87-682 - Resolutions EESOLUTION NO. 87-682 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANC~O CUCANONGA. COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, DECLARING ITS INTENTION TO VACATE A PORTION OF THE NON- VEHICULAR ACCESS RIGHTS ON FOOTHILL BOULEVARD, BETWEEN SPRUCE AND ELM AVENUES BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follows: SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby elects to proceed under Section 8300. et. seq., of the Streets and Nighways Code, also known as the Street Vacation Act of 1941. SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a portion of the non-vehicular access rights on Foothill Boulevard. between Spruce and Elm Avenues, a City street, as shown on Nap No. V-075 on file in the Office of the City Clerk. a legal description of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by reference made a part hereof. SECTION 3: That the City Council hereby fixes Wednesday, the 2Oth day of January, 1988, at 7:30 p.m., in the Lions Park Community Canter Building, located at 9161 Base Line, Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the time and place for hearing all persons objecting to the proposed vacation for the purpose of its determining whether said City street is necessary for present or prospective street purposes. SECTION 4: That the City Street Superintendent shall cause notices to be posted conspicuously along the line of the street or part thereof proposed to be vacated at least 10 days before the hearinS, not more than 30 feet apart and not less than three signs shall be posted, each of which shall have a copy of this resolution on them and shall have the following title in lettering not less than one inch in height: "NOTICE OF HEARING TO VACATE STREET". SECTION 5: The subject vacation shall be subject to the reservations and exceptions. if any. for existing utilities on record. SECTION 6: The Nayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest to the same, and the City Clerk shall cause same to be published 10 days before the date set for the hearing, at least once in The Daily Report, a newspaper of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
