PLAN FOR APPRDXIMATELY 6,754 ACRES OONSIST~ WITH THE
CITY OF RANCh0 ~ G~ERAL PLAN AND ~
G~ERALLY NORTH OF HIGHLAND AV~qUE, SOUTH OF THE NATIONAL
FOREST BOUNDARY, WEST OF THE CITY OF FONTANA, AND EAST OF
A. Recitals
(i) The City of Rancho (~ intends to prepare Specific Plan
90-01 as described in the title of this Resolution and identified on Exhibit
"A" attached hereto and by reference incorporated herein. Hereinafter in this
Resolution, the subject Specific Plan is referred to as "the plan."
(ii) On May 2, 1990, the Council adopted an annexation strategy
which includes preparation of the plan.
(iii) On May 16, 1990, the Council approved Resolutions of Intent to
Expand the Sphere of Influence and Intent to Annex Territory to the City of
(iv) The aforementioned Resolutions require the pre-zoning of the
area identified in this Resolution.
(v) Pre-zoning will be provided by the plan.
(vi) The plan will be consistent with the Rancho Cucamonga General
Plan.
(vii) The plan will be prepared in accordance with Sections
65450-65457 of the California Gove~,~nt Code.
B. Resolution.
NOW, q/~ERE~O~, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
hereby find, determine, and resolve as follow~:
1. This Council hereby specifically finds that all of the facts set
forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct.
2. This Council directs staff to prepare a Specific Plan for the
area described in this Resolution and identified in Exhibit "A"; and further
directs that the plan shall be consistent with the Rancho Cucamonga General
Plan.
