HomeMy WebLinkAbout91-259 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 91-259 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANC2X) ~, OOUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO, STATE OF CALTFORNIA, D~X/CARING ITS INT~qTION TO VACATE A SID]SqAI/< EAS~IqT ~ B~ 9415 AND 9425 PAID ALTO STREET, AT THE THI~SUS OF LAYTON STREET BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga as follc~s: SECTION 1: That the City Council hereby elects to proceed under Section 8300, et. seq., of the Streets ard Highways Code, also known as the Street Vacation ~t of 1941. SECTION 2: That the City Council hereby declares its intention to vacate a sidewalk easement 8 feet wide and 114 feet long, as shown on Map No. V-l18 on file in the office of the City Clerk, a legal description of which is attached hereto marked Exhibit "A" and by reference made a part hereof. S~CTION 3: That the City Council hereby fixes Wednesday, the 2nd day of October 1991, at 7:00 p.m., in the City Council Chambers, located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California, as the time and place for hearing all persons objecting to the propos~ vacation for the purpose of its determining whether said City easement is necessary for present or prospective SECTION 4: That the City Street Superintendent shall cause notices to be posted conspicuously along the easement or part thereof proposed to be vacated at least 10 days before the hearing, not more than 300 feet apart and not less than three signs shall be posted, each of which shall have a copy of this resolution on them and shall have the foll~ing title in lettering not less than one inch in height: "NOTICE OF HEARING TO VACATE EAS~qT". SECTION 5: The subject vacation shall be subject to the reservations and exceptions, if any, for existing utilities on record. SECTION 6: The Mayor shall sign this Resolution and the City Clerk shall attest to the same, ap~ the City Clerk shall cause same to be published 10 days before the date set for the hearing, at least once in Inland Valley Daily Bulletin, a new~pa~ of general circulation published in the City of Ontario, California, and circulated in the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
