A RESOLUTION OF THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY
CUCAMONGA APPROVING AN APPLICATION
ISSUANCE OF A TAXICAB SERVICE PERMIT
RANCHO
FOR THE
A. RECITALS.
(i) Pursuant to Chapter 8.30 of the Rancho Cucamonga
Municipal Code, an application was filed by BELL CAB
COMPANY ( the application hereinafter) for a permit to operate
a taxicab service within the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
(ii) The application was processed in accordance with the
provisions of Chapter 8.30 of the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal
Code, and a duly noticed public hearing concerning the
application was conducted and concluded on August 19, 1998.
B. RESOLUTION.
NOW, THEREFORE, the Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby
find, determine and resolve as follows:
1. All of the facts stated in the Recitals, Part A, of this resolution are true and
correct.
2. Based upon substantial evidence presented during the above-referenced public
hearing, this Council hereby finds and determines as follows:
a. The addition of taxi service to be provided by the applicant within the
City of Rancho Cucamonga will be responsive to a public necessity
that increased services be provided to senior citizens;
b. The addition of taxi services to be provided by the applicant within
the City of Rancho Cucamonga will be responsive to a public
necessity that increased services be provided to handicapped
persons; and
c. No evidence was presented in opposition to the application to
indicate that granting the application would depreciate the level of
service provided to persons in the City of Rancho Cucamonga.
3. Based upon substantial evidence presented during the above-referenced
hearing and the specific findings made in Paragraph 2 above, this Council hereby
finds, determines and concludes that the public interest, convenience and necessity
justify granting the application and issuing the permit applied for.

4. Based on the findings, determinations and conclusions set forth in Paragraphs
2 and 3 above, this Council hereby approves the application.
5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
6. Staff shall require taxi service providers to supply periodic reports regarding
response and waiting times experienced by persons using taxi services in the City
of Rancho Cucamonga.
