NOW, THEREFORE, the.~C, ity.C.o.u_Qc_i].._o.f._.the City of Rancho Cucamonga does
, hereby resolve, pursuant 'to the provisiohs of the Landscaping and Lighting Act
of 1972, being Division 15. of_the.Streets' and H.i, ghways Code of-the.State of
California, as follows:
..... SECTION 1. ..Description of Work: That the publ. ic interest ,and
convenience require and it is the intention of this City Council to form a
maintenance distr,ict in the City of Rancho.Cucamonga for the maintenance and
operation· of those parkways, and..faciliit6s thereon dedicated for common
greenbelt purposes by.deed, o.r recorded subdivision tract map within the
boundaries of the..proposed maintenance, district described in Section- 2
hereof, .Said maintenance and op.erat~on includes~ the cost and supervision of
any sprinkler system, ..trees, ..grass, plantings, - landscaping,, ornamental
lighting, ·structure,s,. and Walls in.connection with said parkways.
SECTION 2. Location o'f Work:...Th.e .foK.e. goJng described.work is to be
located within roadway right-of-way and landscaping easements of .Landscape
Maintenance District No. 7 enumerated in the report of the City Engineer and
more .par.ticu~l'arly described on maps 'which ,are on.'file in the office oiL,the
City Clerk, entitled Assessment Diagram, Landscape Maintenance Di-strict
No. 7".

Maintenance District No. 7" heretofore approved by the
City Council of said City by Resolution No.·-89-355
indicating by said boundary lines the extent of the
territory included within, the. ,proposed assessment
district and which map· is on file in the office of the
City Clerk of said City,
S. ECTION 4. Report of Engineer: The City Council of said City by
Resoluti,on No, .89-355 has approved the report of the engineer of work which
report indicates the amount of the proposed assessment, the district boundary,
assessment zones, titled "Engineer's Report, Annexation to Landscape
Maintenance District No. 7" is on file in the office of the City Clerk of said
Resolution NoJ 89-356

CityJ Reference to said report is hereby made for all particulars for the
amount and extent of the assessments and for the extent of the work.
SECTI'ON 5. ColleJtiOn of Asse§sments: The assessment shall be
collected at.the same'time..and in the[.same~ manner as County taxes are
collected. The City Engineer.,shallF file ~' report annually with the City
Council of said City and said Council .wi~ll a'nnually conduct a hearing upon
said report at their first regular meetingl in June, at which time assessments
for the next fiscal year will be determined.
SECTION 6. Time"and' Placeiof Hearin.Q: .No.tice is her~eby given that
on Septesber 6, 1989, at the hour of 7:30 P.M. in the City Council Chambers at
916~1 Ba~e'. Line, in the C]'ty of Rancho 'Cucamonga, any and all person~ having
any objections to the work or extent of the assessment district, may appear
and show cause why said work should not be done or carried out or why said
district should' not be formed· in .accordance with .this Resolution of
Inte.ntion. Protests must be. in, ~r.itihg', a~'d'~m~sl~ contain ~'de~cri~tion of the
property i.n which'each signer 'thereof is interested, sui~ficient to identify
the same, and_ must be delivered to the Cilty Cl~rk of~said City prior to Zhe
time set foF~ _the hearing, and no other protests Or .objections will be

Lig,hting. A~zl~pf 1972,. being Division 15 pf the Streets 'and Highways Code of
the State of ~alifornia..
SECTION 8. Publication of Resolution of Intention: Published notice
shall be made puKsuant to Section 61961 Of the Government Code.._ The Mayor
shall s.ign t~'iS Re.so.ldtioh ~d';f. he"~C'i~-~-'~i-6r)~'~)~ll attest to the §ame, and
the City.. Cl~rk shall ca.use the ~same· to be published 10 'days before the date
set' for the. h.earing, at least once in The Daily Report, a newspap6r of g~neral

the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California.
