CITY COUNCIL MINUTES
Special Meetinq
A special meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council was held on Wednesday, December 1, 2004,
in the Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California. Mayor William J. Alexander called the meeting to order at 7:09 p.m.
Present were Councilmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Robert J. Howdyshell, Donald J. Kurth, M.D., Diane
Williams and Mayor William J. Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; James Markman, City Attorney; Linda D. Daniels,
Redevelopment Director; Jim Frost, City Treasurer; Larry Temple, Administrative Services Director;
Tamara Layne, Finance Officer; Sandra Ramirez, Management Analyst III; Joe Kamrani, Sr. Information
Systems Analyst; Mike Toy, Information Systems Specialist; Joe O'Neil, City Engineer; Mike TenEyck,
Administrative Resource Manager; Robert Lemon, Management Analyst II; Erica Darplee, Management
Analyst I; Diane Whyte, Sr. Administrative Secretary; Brad Bullet, City Planner; Kevin McArdle,

District; Duane Baker, Assistant to the City Manager; Michelle Dawson, Management Analyst III; Kimberly
Thomas, Management Analyst II; Donna Kendrena, Executive Assistant; Cherise Kuzminski,
Management Analyst II; Kathy Scott, Deputy City Clerk; Shirr'l Griffin, Office Specialist II - City Clerk's
Office; and Debra J. Adams, City Clerk.

Cl. APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION CERTIFYING MUNICIPAL ELECTION RESULTS
RESOLUTION NO. 04-354
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, RECITING THE FACT OF THE GENERAL
MUNICIPAL ELECTION HELD IN SAID CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA ON THE 2ND DAY OF NOVEMBER, 2004 DECLARING
THE RESULT THEREOF AND SUCH OTHER MATTERS AS ARE
PROVIDED BY LAW
MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Gutierrez to approve Resolution No. 04-354, Motion carried
unanimously 5-0.

RESOLUTION NO. 04-356

CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, COMMENDING DR. DONALD J. KURTH
FOR HiS SERVICES AS A MEMBER OF THE CITY COUNCIL
MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Gutierrez to approve Resolution Nos. 04-355 and 04-
356. Motion carried unanimously 5-0.
MOTION: Moved by Gutierrez, seconded by Williams to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. The
meeting adjourned at 6:15 p.m.
Following adjournment, a reception occurred in the foyer of the Council Chambers congratulating
the elected officials. The regular City Council meeting convened at 7:00 p.m.
