SPECIAL MEETING
A. CALL TO ORDER
A special meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council, Fire Protection District and Redevelopment
Agency was held on Tuesday, January 10, 2006, in the Training Room at City Hall located at 10500 Civic
Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California Mayor/Chairman/President William J Alexander called the
meeting to order at 4 10 p m
Present were Councilmembers/Boardmembers/Agencymembers Rex Gutierrez, L Dennis Michael, Sam
Spagnolo, Diane Williams (arrived at 4 45 p m ), and Mayor/PresidenUChairman William J Alexander
Also present were Jack Lam, City Manager, Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager, Kimberly Thomas,
Management Analyst III, Fabian Villenas, Management Analyst III, Linda D Daniels, Redevelopment
Director, Dan Coleman, Acting City Plznner, Joe O'Neil, City Engineer, Trang Huynh, Building and Safety
Official, Larry Temple, Administrative Services Director, Tamara Layne, Finance Officer, Kevin McArdle,
Community Services Director, Deborah Clark, Library Director, Captain Pete Ortiz, Rancho Cucamonga
Police Department, Chief Peter Bryan, Rancho Cucamonga Fire Protection District, and Debra J Adams,

Dr Bill Mathis, Facilitator, led the meeting The Council/Fire Board/Agency discussed the factors
impacting the upcoming 2006 year and reviewed the accomplishments of 2005
The Council/Fire Board/Agency agreed to continue discussions to January 17, 2006 at 4 00 p m No
action was taken
