A. CALL TO ORDER
I
The Rancho Cucamonga City Council held a special closed session on Thursday, June 22, 2006, in the
Tapia Room of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California.
The meeting was called to order at 4:30 p.m. by Mayor William J. Alexander.
Present were Councilmembers: Rex Gutierrez, Sam Spagnolo, Diane Williams and President William J.
Alexander.
Also present were: Jack Lam, City Manager; Pamela Easter, Deputy City Manager; Larry Temple,
Administrative Services Director; and George Rivera, Administrative Services Manager.

A special meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council was held on Thursday, June 22, 2006, in the
Council Chambers of the Civic Center located at 10500 Civic Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga,
California. Mayor William J. Alexander called the meeting to order at 5:10p.m.
Present were Councilmembers: Rex Gutierrez, L. Dennis Michael, Sam Spagnolo, Diane Williams and

MOTION: Moved by Michael, seconded by Spagnolo to approve the staff recommendations in the staff
reports contained within the Consent Calendar. Motion Carried unanimously 5-0.

D1. ADOPTION OF FISCAL YEAR 2006/2007 BUDGET AND ARTICLE XIII-B APPROPRIATIONS
LIMIT
A staff report was presented by Jack Lam, City Manager.
Mayor Alexander opened the meeting for public hearing. There being no response, the public hearing
was closed.
RESOLUTION NO. 06-206

CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING THE CITY'S FISCAL YEAR
2006/2007 BUDGET
RESOLUTION NO. 06-207
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ESTABLISHING AN APPROPRIATIONS
LIMIT PURSUANT TO ARTICLE XIII-B OF THE CALIFORNIA STATE
CONSTITUTION FOR FISCAL YEAR 2006/2007
MOTION: Moved by Michael, seconded by Spagnolo to approve Resolution Nos. 06-206 and 06-207.
Motion carried unanimously 5-0.

Mayor Alexander opened the meeting for public input. There being no response, public comments were
closed.

MOTION: Moved by Michael, seconded by Williams to waive full reading and set second reading of
Ordinance NO.1 OD for the July 5, 2006 meeting. Motion carried unanimously 5-0.
RESOLUTION NO. 84-84A
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ADJUSTING THE SALARY OF THE CITY
TREASURER AND CITY CLERK
MOTION: Moved by Spagnoio, seconded by Michael to approve Resolution No. 84-84A. Motion carried
unanimously 5-0.

F. ADJOURNMENT
MOTION: Moved by Williams, seconded by Michael to adjourn. Motion carried unanimously 5-0. The
meeting adjourned at 5:16 p. m.
Councilmember Michael stated the staff did a great job developing the budget and stated it was good to
have better economics this year.
James C. Frost, City Treasurer, asked that the Council adjourn in memory of City employee Angel
Caizada.
The Council concurred.
