HomeMy WebLinkAbout06-142 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 06-142 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, ADOPTING FEES FOR SERVICES PROVIDED IN CONNECTION WITH THE CARE, ADOPTION, MAINTENANCE, CONTROL, AND DISPOSITION OF ANIMALS WITHIN THE CITY A. RECITALS. (i) The City of Rancho Cucamonga has heretofore adopted regulations governing the care, adoption, maintenance, control, and disposition of animals within the City. Said regulations provide that fees for the provision of services specified therein shall be as established by resolution of the City Council. (ii) On, May 3`d, 2006, the City Council conducted a public hearing, noticed as required by law, to consider the fees for animal-related services established by this Resolution. (iii) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred. B. RESOLUTION. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby finds and resolves as follows: 1. The facts set forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and correct. 2. The City Council hereby approves and adopts those fees set forth in Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated by reference herein, as the fees applicable to the provision of animal-related services specified in Title 6 of the Rancho Cucamonga Municipal Code. 3. The Rancho Cucamonga Animal Care and Adoption Center (Shelter) will be operated by the City as of May 2, 2006, and Field (Control) Services as of July 1, 2006. (All fees noted in Exhibit A are applicable immediately, except as noted: The fees listed in categories 2 and 3 will be applicable as of July 1, 2006 for the City. The fees listed in categories 4 and 5 are applicable for services provided by the County through June 30, 2006). 4. The City Council has heretofore determined, and based thereon finds, that none of the specific fees set forth in Exhibit A hereto, exceed the estimated, reasonable cost to the City in providing the services for which each fee applies. 5. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
