A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA,CALIFORNIA,APPROVING A REQUEST
FOR AN EXTENSION OF BTA: CWA CYCLE 4 FUNDS THAT WILL
BE REIMBURSED TO THE CITY FOR IMPROVEMENTS TO THE
CUCAMONGA CREEK TRAIL, FROM FOOTHILL BOULEVARD TO
BASE LINE ROAD
THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA HEREBY RESOLVES AS FOLLOWS:
WHEREAS,the City of Rancho Cucamonga applied for and was granted $44,000.00,
in 04/05 BTA Grant funds, for improvements to the Cucamonga Creek Regional Bike Trail; and
WHEREAS, processing for permits to work in the Flood Control District easement
fronting the Cucamonga Creek, have created unavoidable delays in the completion of the technical
plans; and
WHEREAS,the City has completed technical plans, specifications and estimates and
advertised for public bid the subject project; and
WHEREAS,the City anticipates construction of the subject project to occur during the
months of April and May; and
WHEREAS, it is possible that unpredictable construction circumstances or the
contractor's billing process may extend the acceptance or administrative completion of the project
beyond the funding deadline of June 30, 2007, and
NOW THEREFORE THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RANCHO
CUCAMONGA HEREBY RESOLVES, the City intends to complete the project and utilize the
reimbursement funds and the request for the extension, to September 30, 2007, is necessary to
insure that the funds do not lapse prior to completion of the construction and subsequent
administrative completion; and that the request for the extension is authorized.
