A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
REQUEST FOR A COOPERATIVE WORK AGREEMENT
FOR BUDGET AUTHORITY EXTENSION PER
GOVERNMENT CODE SECTION 16304.3 FOR THE BASE
LINE ROAD AT 1-15 FREEWAY INTERCHANGE PROJECT
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has for its consideration
a request for a Cooperative Work Agreement between the Federal Highway Administration
(hereinafter referred to as "FHWA") and the City of Rancho Cucamonga for budget authority
extension per Government Code Section 16304.3 for the Base Line Road at 1-15 Freeway
Interchange Project; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga has obligated Federal Interstate
Maintenance Discretionary Funds in the amount of $463,913, and expenditure authority is
scheduled to lapse in August of 2010; and
WHEREAS, a Cooperative Work Agreement needs to be executed between the FHWA
and the City of Rancho Cucamonga in order for expenditure authority to be extended until
August of 2011; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to delegate authorization to execute this agreement
and any amendments thereto to the Mayor.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, California,
hereby resolves that said request for Cooperative Work Agreement be hereby approved, and
the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign said Cooperative Work Agreement on behalf of the City
of Rancho Cucamonga, and the City Clerk to attest thereto.
