DEBORAH KAYE CLARK, LIBRARY MANAGER City of Rancho Cucamonga BY: i11 7/A Vivian ,Garcia, Administrative Secretary City of Rancho Cucamonga R A N C H O C U C A M O N G A PUBLICLIBRARY Staff Report DATE: August 9, 2004 TO: President Williams and Members of the Library Foundation FROM: Deborah Kaye Clark, Library Director SUBJECT: REVIEW AND DISCUSSION OF CULTURAL CENTER DONOR RECOGNITION PROGRAM RECOMMENDATION: That the Library Foundation Board review and discuss the recognition opportunities listed in the attached program statement, revisiting the donation levels for each space and identifying new potential spaces in the Library and surrounding spaces. BACKGROUND: Over the past year, businesses and community members have sponsored a number of major recognition opportunities for the Cultural Center. The attached program lists the recognition items that have been "acquired" by the community and those items that are still available. The enclosed copy also indicates recent modifications to the listing that need to be revisited by the Library Foundation. In an informational meeting with City Council, concern was expressed that perhaps it was too early to reduce the offering price of key pieces of the Cultural Center up for sponsorship. The Library Foundation and the Community Foundation are being asked to reassess those changes. LdcreLct MPACT: (:Nompact. C.2c.
