A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA ADOPTING A NEW
PARKING ENFORCEMENT BAIL SCHEDULE TO COMPLY
WITH RECENT STATE LEGISLATION INCREASING COURT
FUNDING
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga ("City") processes parking citations
issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriffs Department within the City's corporate limits; and
WHEREAS, Assembly Bill AB 1617, requires cities to submit $3.00 to the County
of San Bernardino ("County") Treasurer's Trial Court Trust Fund for each parking ticket fine
collected in their jurisdiction to address funding shortages of the court system; and
WHEREAS, payment of the additional portion of parking violation revenues, as
required by AB 1617, will result in significant financial loss to the City unless parking violation
bail amounts are proportionately increased;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby
approves and adopts as its parking enforcement bail schedule, the bail schedule attached
hereto as Exhibit "A", together with each bail amount set forth therein and the same is hereby
incorporated by reference herein. The bail amounts set forth in Exhibit A shall supersede and
replace any and all parking bail amounts heretofore established for the violations specified
therein.
SECTION 2: Resolution No. 09-204 is hereby repealed provided, however, that
such repeal shall not affect any parking fine incurred prior to the effective date of this
Resolution.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
