A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
REQUEST FOR AN AMENDMENT TO CONTRACT NO. 82-841
WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO FOR THE
PURPOSE OF TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE AT THE
INTERSECTION OF ETIWANDA AVENUE AND NAPA STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has for its
consideration a request for an amendment to Contract No. 82-841 with the County of San
Bernardino for the purpose of Traffic Signal Maintenance at the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue
and Napa Street; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino and the City of Rancho Cucamonga
previously entered into an agreement, Contract No. 82-841, wherein the County of San
Bernardino and City of Rancho Cucamonga agreed to share the maintenance and operation
cost for all jointly owned traffic signals; and
WHEREAS, ownership of the traffic signal at the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue
and Napa Street is as follows: fifty percent (50%) City of Rancho Cucamonga and fifty percent
(50%) County of San Bernardino; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga is responsible for the maintenance
of this traffic signal; and
WHEREAS, the County of San Bernardino agrees to pay the City of Rancho
Cucamonga fifty percent (50%) of the cost of electricity and maintenance, plus a 5% functional
and administrative overhead assessment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to delegate authorization to execute this
amendment to agreement No. 82-841, and any amendments thereto to the Director of
Engineering Services/City Engineer.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California, hereby resolves that said request for an amendment to agreement No. 82-841 be
hereby approved, and the Director of Engineering Services/City Engineer is hereby authorized
to sign said amendment to agreement No. 82-841, and any amendments thereto on behalf of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga, and the City Clerk to attest thereto.
