A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, APPROVING A
REQUEST FOR A TRAFFIC SIGNAL MAINTENANCE
AGREEMENT WITH THE COUNTY OF SAN BERNARDINO
AND THE CITY OF ONTARIO FOR THE INTERSECTION OF
ETIWANDA AVENUE AND SAN BERNARDINO ROAD/4TH
STREET
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga has for its
consideration a request for the approval of a Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement with the
County of San Bernardino and the City of Ontario for the intersection of Etiwanda Avenue and
San Bernardino Road/4th Street; and
WHEREAS, the City of Ontario desires to assume the responsibility of
maintaining this traffic signal from the County of San Bernardino; and
WHEREAS, ownership of the traffic signal is as follows: twenty-five percent
(25%) City of Ontario; twenty-five percent (25%) City of Rancho Cucamonga; and, fifty percent
(50%) County of San Bernardino; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga agrees to pay the City of Ontario
twenty-five percent (25%) of the cost of electricity and maintenance, plus a 5% functional and
administrative overhead assessment; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to delegate authorization to execute this
agreement and any amendments thereto to the Mayor.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California, hereby resolves that said request for Traffic Signal Maintenance Agreement be
hereby approved, and the Mayor is hereby authorized to sign said Traffic Signal Maintenance
Agreement on behalf of the City of Rancho Cucamonga, and the City Clerk to attest thereto.
