A RESOLUTION ADOPTING THE SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY
NON-MOTORIZED TRANSPORTATION PLAN FOR THE CITY
OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
WHEREAS, the San Bernardino Associated Governments (SANBAG) has prepared a
county-wide Non-Motorized Transportation Plan dated March 2011; and
WHEREAS, SANBAG, acting as a regional transportation planning agency, is adopting
the Non-Motorized Transportation Plan for purposes of establishing local jurisdiction eligibility
for Caltrans' Bicycle Transportation Account (BTA) funds; and
WHEREAS, the county-wide Non-Motorized Transportation Plan is compliant with the
Streets and Highways Code Section 891.2 and the Regional Transportation Plan (RTP);and
WHEREAS, the county-wide Non-Motorized Transportation Plan contains sections that
address cycling and walking issues and needs in the City of Rancho Cucamonga;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that the City Council adopts the San
Bernardino County Non-Motorized Transportation Plan for the purpose of establishing a
document to guide the development of the local non-motorized system for cycling and walking.
