A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA, AUTHORIZING THE
CITY'S ANIMAL CARE AND SERVICES DIRECTOR TO
TEMPORARILY LOWER CERTAIN FEES APPLICABLE TO
THE CARE AND DISPOSITION OF ANIMALS WITHIN THE CITY
A. RECITALS.
(i) The City of Rancho Cucamonga has heretofore adopted fees relating to the
care, adoption, maintenance, control and disposition of animals within the
City.
(ii) It is the City Council's intent in adopting this Resolution to authorize the City's
Director of Animal Care and Services to temporarily lower certain fees related
to animal services including, but not limited to, fees pertaining to adoptions,
spaying and neutering, and vaccinations, that may be provided at special or
promotional City events.
(iii) All legal prerequisites to the adoption of this Resolution have occurred.
• B. RESOLUTION.
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council hereby finds and resolves as follows:
1. The facts set forth in the Recitals, Part A, of this Resolution are true and
correct.
2. Notwithstanding the existence of any fee established by the City Council
pertaining to animal services, the City Council hereby authorizes the Director
of Animal Care and Services for the City of Rancho Cucamonga, upon
consent of the City Manager, to temporarily reduce or suspend fees for
specified animal services provided by the City a special or promotional City-
sponsored event. Any such fee reduction or suspension shall be in effect for
no longer than the duration of such special or promotional event. The
services for which applicable fees may be temporarily reduced or suspended
by the Director of Animal Care and Services, as provided above, are as
follows:
A. Animal adoption;
B. Spay and neuter;
C. Animal vaccinations;
D. Dog licenses;
• E. Microchipping;
F. Identification tags.

3. Except as revised herein, nothing in this Resolution shall otherwise affect any
existing fee pertaining to animal related services provided by the City.
4. The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
