CITY COUNCIL
SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
A. CALL TO ORDER I
The special meeting of the Rancho Cucamonga City Council convened in Celebration Hall at the Victoria
Gardens Cultural Center, located at 12505 Cultural Center Drive, Rancho Cucamonga, California. Mayor
L. Dennis Michael called the meeting to order at 6:02 p.m.
Present were Councilmembers: Bill Alexander, Chuck Buquet, Diane Williams, Mayor Pro Tem Sam
Spagnolo and Mayor L. Dennis Michael.
Also present were: John Gillison, City Manager; Linda Daniels, Assistant City Manager; Lori Sassoon,
Deputy City Manager/Administrative Services; Jeff Bloom, Deputy City Manager/Economic and
Community Development; Mark Steuer, Director of Engineering Services; Nettie Nielsen, Community
Services Director; Chris Paxton, Human Resources Director; Tamara Layne, Finance Director; Trang
Huynh, Building & Safety Services Director; Veronica Fincher, Animal Services Director; Mike Bell, Fire
Chief; Jim Frost, City Treasurer and Debra McNay, Records Manager/Assistant City Clerk. •
B. ITEM FOR DISCUSSION
B1. INTRODUCTION TO TECHNOLOGY IN ACTION WORKSHOP
John Gillison, City Manager, welcomed everyone and spoke about the booths and displays that were set
up to highlight the use of technology in each Department.
C. RECESS TO EXPLORE BOOTHS AND DISPLAYS
Mayor Michael recessed the meeting at 6:07 p.m.
Reconvene:
Mayor Michael reconvened the meeting at 7:13 p.m.

M . CITY COUNCIL COMMENTS/DEBRIEFING I
Several drawings were held and prizes were distributed. The Mayor and City Council discussed the
positive interactions of the community and staff and the various uses of technology that were
highlighted.
