A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
RANCHO CUCAMONGA, CALIFORNIA AMENDING THE
PARKING ENFORCEMENT BAIL SCHEDULE TO INCLUDE A
CITATION FOR UNAUTHORIZED PARKING IN ELECTRIC
VEHICLE CHARGING STATIONS
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga ("City") processes parking citations
issued by the San Bernardino County Sheriff's Department within the City limits; and
WHEREAS, the City Council enacted regulations that makes it unlawful for any
person to park a motor vehicle in an electric vehicle charging station at a public or private
parking facility and not have the vehicle connected for electric charging purposes, or leave a
vehicle connected to an electric charging station for longer than four (4) consecutive hours; and
WHEREAS, any person found violating the provisions for parking in an electric
vehicle charging station shall be deemed guilty of an infraction and receive a parking citation;
and
WHEREAS, the City's parking enforcement bail schedule does not include a
citation for violating the provisions for parking in an electric vehicle charging station;
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga,
California does hereby resolve as follows:
SECTION 1: The above recitals are all true and correct.
SECTION 2: The City Council of the City of Rancho Cucamonga hereby amends
its parking enforcement bail schedule, the bail schedule attached hereto as Exhibit "A", to
include a citation for violating the provisions for parking in an electric vehicle charging station.
The bail amounts set forth in Exhibit "A" shall supersede and replace any and all parking bail
amounts heretofore established for the violations specified therein.
SECTION 3: The City Clerk shall certify to the adoption of this Resolution.
