A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA
• PLANNING COMMISSION RECOMMENDING OPPOSITION TO
THE PROPOSED SAN BERNARDINO COUNTY AFFORDABLE
HOUSING TASK FORCE POLICY STATEMENT
WHEREAS, on May 13, 1980, the Coordinator of the Affordable Housing
Committee requested that the Planning Commission support and participate in
the Housing Task Force; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission feels that the City of Rancho
Cucamonga is supportive of Affordable Housing and seeks to provide its fair
share allocation under SCAG's Fair Share Allocation Model; and
WHEREAS, the City of Rancho Cucamonga is working on a General Plan
that will address the issues of affordable housing in Rancho Cucamonga; and
WHEREAS, we are in opposition to another level of government which
will provide another roadblock to cities' exercise of local control,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the
City of Rancho Cucamonga does hereby recommend to the City Council that they
do not support the present proposed policy statement related to Affordable
Housing as submitted by the Coordinator of the Affordable Housing Committee
to the Board of Supervisors on May 27, 1980.

I, JACK LAM, Secretary of the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho
Cucamonga, do hereby certify that the foregoing Resolution was duly and
regularly introduced, passed, and adopted by the Planning Commission of
the City of Rancho Cucamonga at a regular meeting of the Planning Commis-
sion held on the 28th day of May, 1980, by the following vote, to-wit:
AYES: COMMISSIONERS: Jones, Garcia, Dahl, Tolstoy, Rempel
NOES: COMMISSIONERS: None
