HomeMy WebLinkAbout80-83 - Resolutions RESOLUTION NO. 80-83 • A RESOLUTION OF THE PLANNING COMMISSION OF THE CITY OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA, SETTING FORTH RECOM- MENDATIONS FOR THE DRAFT GENERAL PLAN RELATING TO THE ALTA LOMA AREA OF RANCHO CUCAMONGA. WHEREAS, the City' s planning consultant has prepared a Draft General Plan; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has conducted duly advertised public hearings; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has considered public input regarding planning for the Alta Loma area; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, that the Planning Commission of the City of Rancho Cucamonga determines as follows: A. Delete the low density designation in the vicinity of Hillside, Wilson and Hermosa and replace with very low density (2 dwelling units per acre of less) . B. Reduce the extent of the low-medium density (5-8 units • per acre) on the property west of Chaffey College to a point halfway between Haven and Hermosa and the remainder portion (facing Hermosa) with "low density" (.2-4 units per acre) designation. C. Reduce the "medium" density (5-14 units per acre) of that area east of Chaffey College and that area south of the extension of Banyan and 1,000' north of Highland to "low-medium" (5-8 units per acre) . • D. Incorporate a new exhibit in the Draft General Plan that graphically displays the Equestrian/Rural area designated in the Resolution adopted by the Planning Commission on December 1, 1980 and incorporate the policies contained therein. E. Revise the Sedway/Cooke Plan to incorporate the substantive material contained in the Trails Report submitted by the Alta Loma Riding Club and revise the trails map accordingly. F. Create an informal equestrian committee of at least two individuals from the area described in the Equestrian/ Rural Resolution and a member of the Planning Commission to provide guidance in the location and development of tracts and as conduit for transmission of equestrian • interests. - Resolution No. 80-83 _ Page 2 G. Make no change in land use for the 10 acres on the southeast corner of Highland and Haven. H. Modify that area south of the extension of 19th Street adjacent to the Deer Creek Flood Control Channel from low medium (5-8 units per acre) to low density (2-4 units per acre). I. Designate the northeast corner of Base Line and Archibald Offices/Professional to medium high residential (15-24 dwelling units per acre) consistent with the zone change request approved by the Commission. J. Modify that area along the west Archibald Frontage (300' depth) , approximately 1000 feet north of Base Line Road to the railroad to Office/Professional designation. K. Add the paragraph regarding Chaffey College Charter adopted by the Blayney Plan to the General Plan text where appropriate. APPROVED AND ADOPTED THIS 18TH DAY OF DECEMBER, 1980.
